In addition to knowing the Sidekicks Taekwondo forms, students need to do well academically.  This means, that kids taking Taekwondo at Sidekicks Martial Arts Academy need to get their teachers to sign off on their academic progress.  In order to test for a belt rank promotion at Sidekicks, the kids must be getting good grades in school.  If that is not the case, then GMO works together with the child, the parents, and the teacher, to make a game plan for improvement.

Sidekicks students also need to be doing well socially at school.  The teachers have to sign off that they are behaving well in school.  Grandmaster Orange encourages the Sidekicks students to practice the tenants of Taekwondo every day.  Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self Control, and Indomitable Spirit.  All of these attributes contribute to a successful student at Sidekicks.  A successful Sidekicks student, will be armed with the aptitude for a successful life.
